It’s difficult to write a review of a short story without giving too much away of the story. Charlotte and Seth are trapped in their second floor apartments when contractors remove their staircase on a Friday afternoon by mistake just prior to Valentine’s Day. Charlotte is not upset because she is in hiding from a stalker. Seth is a arborist with no where he needs to go. Accommodations are made for the weekend for them and the two begin a new friendship when Izzy, Charlotte’s best friend shows up ready to defend her. Gabe, Seth’s best friend also becomes involved when Izzy confronts him at the apartment building. Electricity sparks between the two couples. This entertaining and fun story is an easy and enjoyable read. There is a lot of romance and drama in this book and I highly recommend it as a quick read and introduction to Abby Jimenez writing. I don’t like rating short stories but will give this one an 4 ⭐️ rating.
